FileInvite is a subscription-based service and charges are paid in advance for the subscribed period. This can be either monthly or yearly depending on the subscription you chose.
When you activate your account by upgrading to a paid subscription, this becomes your billing anniversary date. You will be automatically rebilled at the end of the subscribed period based on the length of your subscription. This is either at the end of the month, or the end of the year on your anniversary date. The detail of this billing cycle along with all terms of usage of the FileInvite service is governed by our standard terms and conditions which can be found at https://fileinvite.com/terms.
All subscribed services will be charged on the anniversary of the subscription and are non-refundable. Clause 6 of our standard terms outlines payment and refund conditions. A summary of this is as follows:
[Clause 6.4] - “The Customer will be liable to pay the Charges on the Anniversary Date. Charges must be paid by credit card and will be automatically deducted by the Provider on the Anniversary Date, or at the timing as outlined in Clause [6.3].” - it is the responsibility of the cardholder registered to the account to pay any charges associated with the account on the anniversary date of the subscription.
It is your responsibility to cancel your subscription prior to the renewal date should you not wish to continue the service. Subscriptions charged are non-refundable.
There may be situations where we are legally required to offer a refund due to consumer law, however common reasons we will not offer a refund are as follows:
- You no longer want to use the software
- You changed your mind
- You missed the subscription renewal date
- Your needs have changed, and the software is no longer required
- Somebody employed by you was given access to subscribe to the software with your payment method and you were not informed of the subscription renewals
- You didn’t see the notice about USD pricing
If you wish to cancel your account, please log into your account and navigate to Settings > Plans & Billing and use the Cancel Plan button. If there are any difficulties, please notify us in writing at least 7 working days before your plan is due to renew by sending an email to email@example.com with subject: Cancellation Request. Successful cancellation before your anniversary date will ensure you are no longer charged any subscription charges.
If you believe you are entitled to a refund for reasons outside your control and not listed above, please send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org with subject: “Refund Request for Consideration”, and outline why you believe you are entitled to a refund with as much detail as possible. You must include supporting evidence and applicable documentation. Any decision to approve or decline your request for full or partial refund will be done at our sole discretion.
In the event a refund is approved under special circumstances, a refund manual processing fee of USD$95 will be charged, and will be deducted from any refund due.
